We are committed to complying with the Cyber Security Act 2024 and the Cyber Security (Security Standards for Smart Devices) Rules 2025, which will come into effect on 4 March 2026.
This page outlines how we meet the security standards required for the connected products we supply in Australia.

Where a factory default password exists, it can be changed by the user via the companion application. Devices do not retain a universal default password in any state other than the factory default.
Cloud connected accounts are created secondarily to the BlackVue camera and do not fall under the same category as above.
*These cameras have modified factory default passwords, which are user-configurable.
2. Reporting Security Vulnerabilities
We take product security seriously. If you believe you have identified a security vulnerability in any product we supply, we encourage you to report it to us.
To report a security issue, please contact:
We will acknowledge your report and provide updates on the status of your submission as our investigation progresses.
3. Security Update Support Period
The security update support period for our products is defined by the manufacturer, Pittasoft Co. Ltd., and aligns with the factory warranty period applicable to each product. Details of the factory warranty definition for each product can be found at blackvue.com.
Please note that the factory warranty period and factory warranty defined by Pittasoft Co. Ltd., is separate from our own warranty, which covers product faults and defects and may differ in duration. Our warranty does not define or imply a security update support commitment.
Statement of Compliance
The security standards on this page apply to all Wi-Fi enabled BlackVue dash cameras and connected products we supply under the relevant connectable product definitions of the Act.
